APW stands for Ass Pocket Whiskey—It’s Derek Trucks’ response to the trend of folks collecting bottles and letting them sit on a shelf or selling them, instead of actually enjoying the whiskey inside. He will be releasing an ongoing series of limited-edition whiskies with friends in the bourbon community, all in 200ml flask sizes. The idea is to give people a chance to taste some really good bourbon by breaking the seal, without breaking the bank. Not everyone can or wants to drop big bucks on a full bottle but who doesn’t want a sip of the good stuff?
APW will launch at the 2024 Bourbon & Beyond festival.
